24-Hour Care
Someone there around the clock, so you can sleep
There is a moment when a few hours a day stops being enough. A fall at night. A spouse who cannot lift anymore. A discharge planner who says, plainly, that someone needs to be there.

Quick answer
A Precious Elder offers 24-hour home care throughout the South Bay: caregivers rotate in shifts so one is always awake, staffed by a small fixed team and priced per case.
We cover it with 24-hour shift care: two or three caregivers rotate through the day, and the overnight caregiver is awake. We put the schedule and the weekly cost in writing before you commit to anything.

24-Hour Care questions
Do you offer live-in care?
No. Our 24-hour care uses two or three caregivers in shifts, and the night caregiver is awake all night, so someone is always alert when your parent needs help.
How much does 24-hour home care cost in the South Bay?
Shift care is billed hourly. The weekly cost of 24-hour care depends on how shifts are structured, because California overtime rules apply to caregivers. We put the exact number in writing after the assessment.
What happens if a caregiver calls in sick?
Our office covers it. We arrange another caregiver, and our field supervisor can step in personally.
Often combined with

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Consistent caregivers trained in memory loss, so home stays calm, familiar and safe.

Post-Hospital and Recovery Care
The ride home, the first nights, meals, mobility and appointments after surgery or a hospital stay.

Hospice and End-of-Life Support
The hours hospice cannot cover: comfort, personal care, overnight presence and a break for the family.
