Medication Reminders
The right pills, at the right time, every time
Missed and doubled doses put more seniors in the ER than almost anything else. Blood pressure pills, blood thinners, diabetes medication: get the timing wrong and the consequences are fast.

Quick answer
A Precious Elder caregivers provide medication reminders in the South Bay: prompting doses on schedule, setting up pre-filled organizers, tracking refills and reporting missed doses to the family, within California rules for non-medical Home Care Aides.
Caregivers keep the schedule. They remind, watch that the dose is taken, log it, and tell you when a bottle is running low or a dose was refused. Under California law, non-medical caregivers do not administer medication, so we work from the pharmacy's pre-filled organizers and your parent's own routine, and we flag anything that needs a nurse or doctor.

Med Reminders questions
Can caregivers give my mother her pills?
Caregivers remind and assist. They can hand your mother her pre-sorted organizer, open it, and watch that she takes the dose. They cannot decide dosage, fill organizers from bottles, give injections or administer medication themselves. That is a California rule for non-medical home care, and it protects your mother.
What if she refuses a dose?
The caregiver notes it in the visit log and calls the family contact the same day. Repeated refusals get raised with the doctor or nurse, with your permission.
